Success in Math Class with Times Alive ™

Katie Schult, Math Curriculum Coordinator at Harris Bilingual School spent several weeks using the Online Times Alive program from City Creek Press in her classroom.

I  loved seeing the kids rocking in their chairs while listening to the music…..Katie Schult

Katie said she saw improvement in math across the board after the kids used the program Online Times Alive to learn all the 0s-9s times tables. Not only was their enthusiasm for math heightened, they also were doing better on their homework assignments. Thank you Katie for taking the time to use Online Times Alive in your class.

Tessie Fay Snow, author of songs and singer on Times Alive

A few weeks after the lessons were completed I received a packet of letters in the mail. Each student wrote me a letter thanking me for providing them with access to the program Times Alive. I received high praise, being called a “math godis” with many telling me how much they loved the songs.

The music in Times Alive often has kids singing along and dancing in their chairs to the clever theme songs based on the stories in the Times Tables the Fun Way Book, —also available on Amazon. My daughter,  Tessie Fay Snow, is the singer for Times Alive. She also co-wrote the songs with me in the program that is —only for kids who want to have fun:—Times Alive.

Take a minute to read these delightful letters. I am so proud of them. I did a happy dance, laughed, and found great delight in their well thought out words…Ms. Judy Liautaud

*Harris Bilingual Immersion School

(HBIS) has a rich history in Fort Collins. Built in 1919, along with a twin school, Washington School, Harris was one of the first elementary schools built in Fort Collins. Of the 7 schools built between 1871 and 1919, only half remain. In 1939, Harris Elementary was named after former teacher and Principal Margaret “Mame” Harris. After serving the neighborhood for over 70 years, Harris Bilingual Immersion School (HBIS) opened its doors in 1993 as a dual language school with 88 students in grades K-4. We now serve over 300 students from Early Childhood to Grade 5.
